2020 HIGHLIGHTS
As 2020 began, we had a goal.
As we continue becoming more like Jesus, we will SEE THE POTENTIAL in each other and in the little things we do each day in 2020 to:
• Bring people in our lives and around the world to see Jesus.
• Rejoice that Jesus made us a part of His church in Georgetown.
• Work together to develop each other’s gifts through involvement and mentorship.
We prepared a budget for it. We planned events to advance it. Little did we know how much our world was about to change. Yet, God knew; and in a year of pain, adversity, fear, and loss, He still helped us to SEE THE POTENTIAL. While things looked much different than what we had planned, Jesus still reigned, His Spirit still led, and God was still glorified.
Even though we have more road to travel before the COVID-19 pandemic is truly behind us, we have so much to thank God for this year. Opportunities that we might never have had otherwise have been seized. Compassion, love, and incredible creativity have welled up and overflowed in all sorts of places. We saw the potential and can rejoice in what God accomplished in Georgetown, SC in 2020.
In Isaiah 43:18-19, God said, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” As we close this year, can we perceive the new thing God has been doing? There is so much good to celebrate, growth to recognize, and lessons to learn from Him. Check out our Mission Report 2020 and praise Him!
